AD pics of Rolex, PP and Lange

Had a great day out at a few ADs and took some pics. Saw the new DD40 which is quite a bit smaller and slimmer than my DDII, wears like a 39mm so great for many here I think. The diagonal motif is interesting but maybe a bit too much on top of a sunburst-ing dial as well. The chocolate is the same colour as on my DDII. The ice blue I think is the same as well.

Still not sure on the deconstructed numerals, didn't really do anything for me, the AD said it looked bit like matchsticks. The new dials and numerals on the DD40s are definitely a move toward the modern and trendy, altho the size is a move back towards the conservative.

Loved the Lange Moonphase, would be my first choice for a dress watch, beautiful dial detailing and not too thick.

And also tried on a trio of beautiful RG sports watches, 2 Nautiluses and a Daytona, one of which will probably be my next incoming later this year.

What were your thoughts on the 5711R Neil when you got it on your wrist?

Some major league watches there, thanks for posting/enabling. Think I like the smooth bezel better on the DD40 but size is perfect IMO. The ALS and PPs are top shelf.

I recently acquired the Everose Daytona. Not to knock your photography in anyway, but from the picture of the Daytona, it looks somewhat average. My own experience was that it looked good at the AD and based on that I purchased the watch (of course other factors came into play).

I hate to exaggerate, but this Daytona in outside daylight, in mixed sun and shade, is intoxicating. I have never seen anything that even comes close to the incredible visual experience of this timepiece. The polished surfaces and brushed surfaces in the beautiful pinkish red color are so incredible, that wearing the watch for me is distracting in that it is hard to not peek a look every few minutes.

I wore the watch last night to see a concert in SE DC at the Anacostia river front park. The play of the lighting from lamps, colored blue lighting from under-seat bench lighting, and all other lighting combined created a visual experience that was incredible to point of almost being surreal.

I don't have experience with Patek, but the difference in the placement of polished surfaces on the Daytona will probably result in a more impressive visual display of shiny bright rose gold.

Many thanks guys, it was such a pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

I loved the 5711/1R, have been looking forward to trying this on for a while as I love the colour combo, and the bold crisp font and date surround, and that is the one I am leaning towards the most. It is also very light for a full gold piece, weighs like an SS Rolex.

My wrists are 7 inches... used to be 7.25 but no carbs mean everything is getting smaller.

I really like the RG Daytona and if it had a ceramic bezel then I think that would be a must have, maybe Basel will throw something up next year.

The AD is well stocked Neil!!! That is a lot of PM madness to absorb!! I really like the 5980 on strap but I know it isn't for everyone:) hard pressed to go wrong with any of them actually:)

That's some heavy hardware. Perhaps just wait it out for something new to arrive that you're certain about.

Looks like the 5711 was a demo model?
