Which moon phase watch
I've recently begun to look at watches with a moon phase complication and have narrowed the selection down to the Jaeger Lecoultre Master Calendar and the Glashutte Original PanoMaticLunar. However, I also came across this one, the Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Lune Retrograde Automatic. Very interesting dial and complications. In reading up on ML, their in-house automatic movements seem to be respected, but as a whole, the brand seems to lose respect because of their line(s) of lower priced watches with quartz movements. Anybody have any information on ML that might not be readily available online? The closest retailer of ML is more than 100 miles away, so it's not so easy to just go and take a look for myself.

If you're looking for a moonphase dress watch, the JLC MUT Moon will be a hard to beat, especially at its preowned price.

Thanks for the comments. The GO is my first choice, all other things being equal, but I could live very easily with a JLC. The main reason I would go with the GO is because I have a JLC Master Compressor Geographic and I'm inclined to vary my brands. Plus, I don't have a German watch yet. OTOH, the JLC Master Compressor is such a great watch, maybe that argues in favor of staying with JLC. I guess no one sees ML as serious competition. Again, thanks for the input.

I've seriously considered the PML before, but I keep getting turned off by the relatively small display for the moon when there is still so much empty space on the dial; and, I don't like how it 12mm thick.

If the unique ML look appeals to you, it's a great watch.
