Crap, it's time to liquidate the watch collection and have a garage sale this weekend to get rid of all my uncool brands

I'm not worried at all! At 61 I don't need to be cool.

No other watch brand is on the list either; there's a surprise. Apple doesn't count.

I believe there is an element of specialness that comes with Rolex not being on that list. It says, "We are a company admired by those who desire class and beauty, not simply what is 'in'." Conversely, one could probably say the same thing simply if it was on the list. Besides, it's cool not to be cool.

That list yes have some cool brands on it but some are debatable. I would argue with the source of this site.

I'm not sure if the Rolex brand has ever really been cool. They really haven't done that much advertisement in the past as far as I can remember. I'm seeing a lot more in recent years where they're sponsoring major sporting events, like F1 auto racing and tennis tournaments. Still when you're paying a watch $10,000 I'm not your cool and trendy is really even a factor. I think the real point for Rolex is (when you want the BEST there's Rolex) If people want to be cool look around and find the flavor of the month.

Fantastic news.

Perhaps those who buy to be popular and to be noticed will move on and leave the brand to those who actually appreciate it.

With brands like Virgin Atlantic, Instagram, Spotify and Google in the top 20, I don't want to be cool.

That list is all over the place and really makes not to much sense. I understand the intent, but why would I compare brands of different categories. Makes no sense to compare Apple vs Nike etc
