New kid in the hood. Has also a watch.
Hello people
My name is Xaris and I’m (not) new here. I registered in TRF some 7 years ago, but have never posted since then. You may say that I certainly took my time before posting, but to be honest I had not much to say anyway; preferred to read and gaze at the pictures instead. As time went by, I started delving deeper into the horological history of Rolex until I reached a point where the need to acquire one, a 5513 in particular, came as naturally as the leaves to a tree (to paraphrase Keats). In the process, [fast-forward] I managed to exorcise the ghost called Rolex Stigma, I handled several Rolex watches belonging to friends and kept searching for the right one to buy but to no avail; most of those I found were “tampered with” and the rest were in bad shape. So at some point I pressed the Pause button. Somehow I still miss the whole journey, I must admit. Anyways, the Pause button remained pressed for a long time until I came across the watch you’ll see a bit further down, if you stick with me for a couple more lines. It was introduced in Basel-world 2014, after a six-year absence. After sitting on the fence about it for some time, and considering that life is either too short or a b*tch or both (lol), I took the plunge. Now my pockets may be emptier than a banker’s heart, but I’m pretty happy with it. See you again in 7 years. Thanks for reading On to the pics: |

Yes! I only started to look at rolex seriously after 2014 Basel when I saw the 116600. I knew it was something I had to have. Before that I would pass by ad's and stare with lust at the hulk lv. Anyhow congrats!!!

Congrats! I wear mine daily and have owned just about every modern SS diver Rolex offers. It's truly an amazing watch that I appreciate more everyday and definately a keeper. Great photos and an excellent choice.

Congrats / Megia kai kali epilogi "9", and your name Xaris pronounced in English is Haris aka Harry, in Greece derived from C/haralambos? Meaning glowing with happiness
7 years registered? first post with pics impressive & I agree we are here today, but no one guarantees we will be here tomorrow. Note to those waiting for the Ceramic SS Daytona or SS Coke. One life to live, so live it the best you can. The dent in the bank stings for a bit but you will get used to it & will be worth it 100% provided you got the right watch that you wanted & have no regrets, which sounds to me you took your time doing. http://www.greek-names.info/haralambos-or-charalambos/ Last edited by Fresh_1; 15 October 2015 at 10:43 AM..
