Incoming! First PM!

Well my wife got me an early birthday present (30th ) Many of you helped me out earlier this year with my first Rolex (BLNR - GREAT suggestion btw), really glad to add the new YM to the collection!

Just got it delivered, pardon the stickers (promised wife I'd remove them with her when I get home) and the hotel room shots, wanted to share it with you guys, this has been an awesome community!

I know several folks have their reservations, and I'm sure some will share those here as well and I welcome them! But to me, this was exactly what I wanted, classy and casual at the same time, I love how understated it is, especially for a PM piece. I'm on the younger side and feel like this is a great way to add some gold to my rotation, but honestly, I think this watch suits all ages.

I feel like I could wear this with a suit to a meeting or shorts and sandals to the beach. The weight of the gold is truly remarkable while still maintaining a wonderful balance on the wrist, feels solid and comfortable at the same time.

The Oysterflex is incredible, it seems to always fit like a glove, even during temperature changes, I'm in NYC this week and going from the cold walk to work and into our sauna of an office, the band has never felt uncomfortable, loose or tight, granted, this is from one day of use, looking forward to a more long-term test

The gaps around the strap that seem to irk so many are a non-issue to me, but I can certainly understand the concern. To me it feels and looks like the small gaps disappear when I put it on, they don't impact performance or comfort of the band and as a few online reviews have stated, I'm sure Rolex has some reason or another for the gap.

Lots of speculation on prices settling, I see the concern, but no issue for me here either, it's a 30th birthday gift from the wife and won't be going anywhere for the foreseeable future. That said, with so many people so certain of where the prices will end up, could definitely use you guys on the hedge fund side of things!

On to the pictures, hopefully I didn't offend anyone, seems like this is a very polarizing piece, to me it was just perfect!

It's a very nice watch. And if you love it that's all that matters.

I am sure by the way you describe it that YOU love the watch and that is all that matters.

I was sceptical about it at first, but after seeing it at the AD and then on the wrist of a Ferrari Driver who stood next to me at a red light, I warmed up to it. The way it catches the light is great, and the gold remains very subtle, which I love.

Enjoy it in good health!

I tried one of these on at the dealer last week and I know what you mean about the strap. It's perhaps the most comfortable rubber strap I've seen so far. This watch is fantastic and must be seen in person to really be appreciated. Big congrats!!

Big Congrats, if you love it & keep it, definitely worth it & priceless & is all that matters regardless of where prices settle, As mentioned before its a beauty and fits like a glove.
Problem around here is people buy watches they are uncertain about keeping and/or grow old quickly & want to trade up down sideways etc within a few weeks/months.
Happy Birthday as well.
