Stainless and gold - Daytona or sub
Thinking about either one but unfortunately not both! Any preference out there in general? I'm torn...

they are both stunning and you can't go wrong. if you want a date and movable bezel go sub, want to time stuff go Daytona
the TT Daytona gives many many very cool dial options so would take a good look at them all! Personally I love them both, but only one...Daytona... these were my first two Rolex watches ever, and full disclosure, got the sub first... |

Of the two you picked, I'd say the Sub. However, this tt Daytona would be a contender:

Personally prefer the black bezel, but the question is...
What do you prefer? |

Exactly what I'm trying to figure out. I'm not crazy about either but wife us actually encouraging one or the other. She likes the Daytona. We're having our second kid likely this week so I better take advantage of the hormones talking!

I would go two tone sub. This was a pretty hard choice though.
Is this your first rolex? Do you have other watches in your collection. Also whats your life style. Like someone that does a lot of water activities like boating, diving, beach would choose the sub. See what your lacking in your collection and that usually helps me think of what my next watch should be.

I'd try to find one that I'm crazy about, especially if it's one you probably shouldn't get rid/sell of because it's a memento or gift.
If this is all about her then get the one she wants you to have and wear for special occasions... eventually she may borrow it for herself and you'll never see it again on your dresser. |

Daytona, not even close. (My 1992, "rare inverted 6" Daytona with the Zenith movement.)

Both beautiful choices...I really like that Daytona. If I were going TT sub, it would be blue for me.
Recognizing this is somewhat non-responsive, if I were going to go TT black dial, one could also go with this option (as I actually did). Love the bezel on this guy. These are good problems to have, so buy what sings to you, and wear in good health. 👍 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think the Daytona is better suited for two tone. As Tom points out, there are a lot of great dial options as well. My favorite two tones are the Datejust II and the GMT-Master II.

I really like both however I lean towards the sub a little more. It is a tough choice however.

The dial on that Daytona is hard to read, so it's between those two...I'd choose the Sub. My preference would be the TT Blue Sub followed by the TT white dialed Daytona.

Sub. I think the contrast bezel rounds off the look.
Both are great watches though |
