My Grail & Maybe his Grail - Incoming !

Finally achieved my personal grail and really hoping it will be passed to him as his grail in possibly 16 1/2 years.
It's an unexplained buying feeling & achievement experience but this forum of Rolex enthusiastic people have helped more than you imagine.
Thank you!
He certainly cried a little when I took it back from him. :-)

Cool, another future member. Personally, I would will it to him; in 16 1/2 years your watch will be finally broken in. However, that face would make me weak...

The SS Daytona is a great one. Congrats! I gave my first Rolex TT DJ w/ tapestry dial to my son when he graduated from HS. It still means a lot to him 10 years later. I've never regretted it. Your plan is a good one. You should give it to him with this picture and your post attached.

Nice Daytona!
My two little daughters are always playing with my old broken watches! Probably I need to start buying watches per pairs!!

Thank you for all the congratulations.
Who knows if this thread will be in the archives after 16 years? :-) but I'll be sure to show him somehow if an 18 year old actually listens to their fathers..!?!

Congrats. The little man is happy but has to wait 16 years. Enjoy it for many years to come.

That is exactly what I plan to do. I have already serviced and packed away my first Rolex I bought for myself (Date) to give to my son when he graduates from HS.

Got another piece waiting when he finished College.
