Black Bay, wears better, more versatile. Pretty similar to the Rolex Sub Vs. deep Sea, most people choose the Submariner.

Another vote for Pelagos, if you can pull off the bigger size on your wrist.

I just bought a Black Bay. I looked at them both side by side. The face of the BB just appealed more to me with the round hour markers, amongst other things. I'm not a fan of the square markers on the Pelagos. YMMV.

You can't go wrong with either --- for me --- it would be the Blue Pelagos. In house movement.

love the Pelagos.
~have the blue. there is a size difference between them and if it were me, i think this would be the first consideration as they both look great. try them both on and you should have an easier decision

Both Tudor dive watches but different animals. Pelagos with in-house movement is more "interesting" to watch guys, but there are real practical benefits to that movement, too. Overall it's a more serious tool watch, with much better reserve power, better lume, titanium construction.
Black Bay is simply a lovely watch, and the long-term relationship costs should be lower due to the more common movement. Thinking about it, I want a Pelagos now to add to my BB. Damn you, Tudor, why do you have to be so good? |

Love the look and style of the BBB, but for me the in-hose movement in the Pelegos would be my choice.

New Pelagos is the first Tudor dive watch with the in-house movement. There are more interesting characteristics including date, bezel lume, bracelet with spring and extension link, higher power reserve (70 hours) and depth rating (500 m), titanium case, etc., that BB does not have.

Was in doubt myself, went for the Blue Pelagos (first)... 42mm fitted my wrist better, and I am a sucker for accuracy (getting reports of -5/+10 for BB and -0.5/+1 for the BBB -- Date is awesome as well..

Pelagos looks better IMO, the snowflake style hands just don't clash as well with the cylindrical markers on the BB

Steel over Ti, Round plots over square, extra depth doesn't mean anything to me. The cut-out dial is a turn-off for me as well since from angles the plots always look misaligned. BBN all day and night.

It seems like it's about 50/50 or pretty close to it on here.
