14060M ? Scratching the surface….
I am considering my first Rolex and this one keeps coming back to the top of my list. Here is a dilemma for me, upon researching I came across these deviations on the same model/year,and it really is bothering me.Your comments would be appreciated.

The bottom engraving is typical of the early 14060 whereas the top one is typical of the later D ,Z, M,V... serials |

Rolex doesn't make watches by Model Year..
An F, D, or Z could be from 2006 and possibly others which could have been stamped much earlier.. Here is one of mine from late in the same era, so I would say that the bottom one is earlier..

Both are Z and listed as 2006 .Thanks
.Can anyone share any images of similar engraving on a genuine Z model as seem on the bottom example? It just seems very sloppy to me compared to any other examples I have seen yet.

Much to learn.Thanks !
The precision engraving of your example is in keeping with my Expectations for this "Serial".So I am still unsure of where the almost freehand style fits into this as it appears from comments?
