Help with a ref. number on AP watch
Hi Rolex Forums,
I'm new in here, so I hope that you will receive me well, I might not spell it all right, hope you can understand anyway :) The thing is that recently there was an Audemars Piguet watch at an auction at Bruun-Rasmussen auction house in Denmark where I live. Unfortunately, I didn't win the auction, but I really liked that watch so now I'm looking for another but so far I have not been able to find just a single picture of an identical watch, even after several hours of Googling. I was hoping that maybe one of you could help me with a reference number or maybe even a name. I have tried emailing Bruun-Rasmussen, but they haven't replied. I have some information about it: Casing, needles (aren't they called that?), timemarkers and buckle are all 18kt gold White dial Diameter is stated to be 27mm Around year 1985 Caliber 2003/1 Very thin - I tried it, about 3-5mm is my best guess Manual winding Little blue "stone" on the thing that you wind it up with. Same concept as with the Cartier Tank. Attached is the only picture that I got. It ended up being sold for 2130euros/2285USD - that's 16000 danish kroner - hvis der nu skulle være en dansker her :-) Really hope that you can help! Best regards Svarter |

The stone is callled a “cabouchon”, which is fitted to the “crown”. Whilst not the exact same watch, here are a few near alternatives http://www.ebay.com/itm/Audemars-Pig...l/221889962377 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Scarce-Mens-...-/161897656893 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDEMARS-P...-/221937669681 http://www.vesperco.com/whatsnew/201...au-dress-watch For more information on the one you pictured, contact the local AP Service Centre and they should be able to provide a reference number. The only issue there, is that resellers might not know the reference, so keywords like vintage, 18kt, and audemars piguet will be used instead. |
