Rolex Serial # Question

Quick question - I have searched the forum and online and am pretty sure of the answer but would just like some reassurance:

Serial number starts with V but is 8 digits - that is a random serial and not a "V" serial correct?

Any serial that has a total of 8 digits whether numbers and mixture of letters numbers is a random serial.What this will tell you is the case was stamped sometime from the latter part of 2010 till present time.
