Take her to an AD to get a sense of what she may want.

Like Kilyung said the best thing to do would be to take her to an AD to see what she likes! Then surprise her later!

I've been waiting for my wife to ask for a Rolex but she is happy with her iwatch and has no interest in a Rolex.

I'd let her try on a 36mm. I feel that's the new size for women. Noticed over the past year.

Absolutely!!! If you have several AD's close, you could turn it into a day long trip/date of visiting dealers, lunch, coffee shop for dessert, and a nice dinner to finish the day. You spend time together, you're going shopping WITH her FOR her, and she gets to pick out what she likes. Sounds like a win win for everyone!!!

My wife has had a 26mm Stainless Datejust for the last 29 years. Pretty beat up but still works well. Anyway I have been getting into watches again the last 2-3 years. She was also one that didnt need a New Rolex till recently. Her 50th Bday is in January. We were discussing my last purchase and she said something about that fact that she would be worth it meaning it would be OK for me to get her a new watch. So I made a appointment to go see DavidSW. She got to try on a few 31mm models and a 36mm to get the size difference thing figured out. Ended up ordering a 31mm from David since what she wanted he didnt have in stock. Seeing them in person is the way to go so there's no surprises.

If she's thinking a larger watch, then definitely try on the 35-36mm models, too. Enjoy the hunt!

My wife opted for a 34mm OP, not too big, not too small.

Perspective is a bit misleading in the photo...but you get the idea.

My wife wears a 34mm OP. I don't have any pics of her wearing it so here it is on me.

Nice, I think the blue makes it a watch that can be shared! I've got smaller wrists so I've tried to sport my wife's as well. The size works, but the size combined with the white dial make me a little hesitant.

X2. There are so many interesting pieces you never know which way she will go until she sees some in real life and sees what they look like on her wrist. My wife was convinced she wanted a significantly larger watch than the TT 26MM she has worn for many years. After trying many larger pieces, she decided the one that sang to her was a TT 31mm diamond dial piece. She loves it. Good luck finding the one she will love.

Do yourself a favor and get her a full size model. Then you can wear it. Now you've doubled your collection.

WEll, if you want to go all out!

Remember, if you get her the 37mm now, you can always say you would like to, "Remember her when you look at your new Everose 40mm Yachtmaster," in the future...
