Royal Oak

What are the differences between early 2000 models and the current models? I'm looking at a rose gold chrono on bracelet and cannot see much of a difference dial wise. Was wondering if it makes sense to buy new from the new AP store in Beverly Hills or go grey market on here...

thanks

Well, for one, there's a size difference between them. 39mm vs 41. I'd do some research on the 15300 vs the 15400.

Can't speak specifically to the early 2000 ROs but in case you missed it (unlikely) Hal's post is great on preowned AP

Otherwise I highly recommend going TRF trusted sellers on an AP unless you are a very savvy negotiater or willing to take the time to hunt and bargain with a few dealers.

Precious metal APs need to be bought right upfront, like everything but critical here imho.

Which model are you talking about? I believe the chrono module and even the movement have been updated since the 2000s.

I'm pretty sure the 15400 are the same compared from now and back then.

The DD 118238 are the exact same from 2003-present. Only difference is in 2007 engraved Renault. But same movement, case, dial, everything.

I would buy gray market if I was you.

This is the watch from the grey dealer... they say its from "2000-2009." Maybe they're off on their information.

The dealer is definitely off by a few years. This picture is of the latest 41mm version of the ROC which was introduced in 2012. Love the watch though!

The newer 41mm RG ROC is an awesome piece, if I was to do it again I would buy it on bracelet, go for it but buy from a trusted as resale is poor and you need a large discount, 25% plus.

I guess it's good for you if the dealer believes it's from 2000.
