Tudor GMT?

Hello to all of you wonderful people on this forum. Though I do not consider myself an expert on watches I have seen quite a few in my 32 years. My question I have. Has Tudor ever made a GMT watch similar to its big brother? I have never seen such an animal but if it exists I would sure like to see one. As always wear them in good health.

Tudor Aeronaut GMT ref. 20200? From a sale thread here on TRF back in 10/12.

Not that those aren't cool because they sure are. I was hoping something a little closer like the old subs but I guess one can only wish.

Aeronaut is similar to an older Explorer II. How about just get a vintage GMT? Close to a Sub.

Tudor never made a version of the GMT-Master in the way they did with the Sub and others. If you want an older or current Tudor with timezone function, the best option is the old chronos like the 7169, 79170 and 79270 or the THC.

I've always found those 12-hour bezels to be much more intuitive and easier to read than the 24-hour bezel anyway. The THC here, for example, is telling you that it's 10.20 local time and 7.20 in the timezone you are tracking.

Beautiful watch

Stupid question Adam, but I don't get it. does the bezel rotate with the movement?

No, you rotate it yourself, as required. Two hours to the left if you want to track two hours ahead, for example.

I understand. To be honest, I like the Iconaut more, with the dedicated GMT hand and the 24 bezel, that is a very functional watch and not as busy looking as say, the Omega flight master; which also offers the chronograph and GMT hand functions.

I have to admit, although I always respected Tudor, I never was truly interested in owning any, but lately they have started to sing to me! I think one might be joining my modest collection soon

No problem, Paul. The Iconaut is out of production, and although they can still be quite easily found in ADs outside the USA, I don't know if stock was brought back to the USA when Tudor made its return a couple of years ago. Try before you buy, if possible; they are quite large.
