Some questions on this 5513 gloss dial.
So whilst researching about vintage like a mad man, I have found it hard to catch up as there are many confusions, many variants, many things to consider basically.
Now I would like to ask about this specific 5513 that is is a circa 1986 with a glossy dial. I recently started to like the matte dials much more, and lost interest in trying to find a birth year watch since they were all using Gloss by then. (I am a 1990 born). After seeing this beautiful example. I have decided that it wouldn't be the worst thing if I could find a birth year that aged similar to this. The glossy dial actually blends it and looks very nice I think. Were there ever different variants (maxi vs regular) on the glossy dial? At the same time, I am trying to debate whether I would best find a nice matte dial which definitely are more aesthetically example over a gloss just because it is a birth year. Plus side of a gloss dial is obviously that it is more affordable. Will be harder to find no doubt. There simply is no winning with vintage! On a side note. I would like to ask of any book on subarminers that come handy when looking for information. Have heard of the Guido Mondani. Can anyone recommend it? Thanks guys! |

I've never considered glossy or WG surrounds, but that looks stunning!
