114300 is the correct model number for the model. It's the 39mm version. That's just how Rolex made the dial.

That's not brackets, it's minute tic marks. It just skips over a couple to put the words in.

The lumped hour markers add to the functionality. That way you can orient the watch in the dark. Something that some of the older 36mm OPs and AKs lacked. They unbalance the dial but make it a whole lot easier to read

In person it is even nicer!!! That dial changes substantially in lighting. Really nice!!!

That's a 116000 at 36mm not the one the OP was asking about, I just bought this reference for my wife. The one OP shown has red dots on the hour markers and it is 39mm.

Does anyone know if the 114300 39mm is the same case as the 39mm Explorer? They both use the same 3132 movement.
