Up for grabs is a Rolex Explorer 2 Big Orange Hand

1655 reference

5.8 mil serial number circa 1978 production

Excellent vintage condition case with very thick lugs, original bevels and thick and even crown guards. There is no corrosion or pitting. The serial and reference numbers are fully intact, clearly visible.

Dial is excellent and period correct MK4 with great heavy cream patina on plot and matching hands. The plots between 27 and 28 minute marker is missing tritium. Otherwise, flawless dial with no chips, scratches, drag marks, etc. Hands are original, tritium. Orange hand still has nice vibrant color. Original date silver date disk with open 6's and 9's.

Original MK4 bezel shows signs of age, but in overall very good vintage condition.

Caseback is correct, stamped 1655. Outer inside edge shows some corrosion.

Bracelet is a Rolex 78360 in excellent and tight vintage condition. Fully linked with 13 links, 380B end-links and VB period correct date code.

No box or papers. No documented service history. Watch winds smoothly, and runs well.
