1968 1675 example - moisture?

Hello to all, I am new to the thread but very into the conversations and have fallen down several deep holes of great information already. I am looking to buy this 1675 circa 1968 (2.4m#). I have worn the watch and am confident with the price I am getting the watch for.

The only question i have is in the image of the movement and what the gunk in there might be but I of course welcome any and all comments on the continuity and overall look of the watch!

It will be serviced before I get it and the correct band will be put on it. I comes with the manual and original bill of sale (Lucerne).

To be clear I trust the seller as he is a collector and services Rolex. His collection is amazing and he knows his stuff.

There may have been very minor moisture ingress, from the small spotting in the movement.
The 'gunk' I think you are referring to is again very minor under where the case-back gasket is normally seated. Probably clean right off, and nothing to worry about IMHO. Looks like a good watch, I think. MKI 'long E' dial.

There is definitely corrosion inside the case as evidenced by corrosion on some of the screws and other areas. I would have it checked.

Great to know. And thanks for the info on the dial, I have begun my investigation of the "MKI long E."
