hi TRF - i am looking for my first rolex and came across the following at my local used jewelry store:

1999 Datejust
stainless steel band
white gold fluted bezel
blue stick dial
box with no papers
watch just serviced by the owner
out of 100%, the watch is 85% new

the dealer is asking $2350

deal or no deal?

Is dealer an AD and if not does he have access to Rolex parts account. I have a rule on pre owned
1) Must have box and docs - if no docs then Rolex service certificate
2) Must not of been opened or serviced by a non authorised Rolex service agent

With the info you have given, i would not buy.
