6263 vs MK2 DRSD
Having a fabulous 6263 and MK4 DRSD , I am seriously considering letting the 6263 go to help fund a nice MK2 Thin Case DRSD ,
I also own a lovely MK1 Single red sub and feel the 40mm case is more my size ,I love the 6263 but it just seams so small on my wrist. Why a MK2 ? I thought finding a thin case may be just different enough to fit in with the Sub and SD I already have . Am I going Mad ? . I totally get the Daytona thing it was my grail for years but the watch is just too small |

Personally would not give up 6263 and it is my favorite vintage Rolex. To each his own though but my guess is you would regret it down the road.

It keeps me going back and forth on getting one or not. But in the end the 6263 is mandatory for me in a vintage collection |

6263 is THE watch #1
1665 is THE watch #2 Thats all we need, others are cherry on the cake

I was in a similar situation. I owned a stunning 6263 and loved it (wore it at my wedding), but in the end I found it too delicate, if that's the right word. Almost dainty. I was wearing my 1665 a lot more. So I sold the 6263. It's a beautiful reference, of course, a real jewel of the vintage watch world. But if you don't feel it's you, there's no point in keeping it, IMHO. Good luck either way.

Totally your decision, and I've never had a 6263 in hand so I can't comment on the size, but a 36mm chronograph sounds really interesting in an understated and humble way.
Curious what you're getting in an MK2 that you're not in your MK4. Why do you want to add that watch? |

Never owned a 6263.
I do tend to love the subs more myself at this point, so I can totally understand why you are considering it. A thin case DRSD is a really really stunning reference. I don't think there is a wrong decision here. If you would wear and enjoy the DRSD more, you know what to do!! Good luck! |

I have a MK4 DRSD and a 1680 MK1 Single red both 40mm the MK2 thin case is just different enough being a 1665 but with a thinner case no cyclops to be suitable as its 40mm as well I wanted the 6263 for a very long time and waited till the right one came along but wearing it ,It just feels as above delicate and small , I am not 100 convinced it needs to go but also when I do wear it keep looking and thinking how small it is. |

Seems like an easy choice. I would ship it if you find it small.

I really think this would be a mistake.
But ultimately you have to live with what you're comfortable with |

Since You already have a DRSD I would keep the 6263.I just don't think the thin case of the MK2 is a big enough difference to dump the 6263,especially since You also have a 1680 Red.

I wouldn't do it. If you want to shift it I would be happy to take it off your hands! The only Dweller I would sell a 6263 for is a COMEX but it all comes down to personal taste.

Oh my! I wouldn't, but ofcourse its up to you. Yours doesn't look small to me in the pics I've seen on you. Try it on some vintage leather for a change. To me it wears larger on a strap.

I suspect that the difference in size between the DRSD and the 6263 results in making the 6263 seem even smaller than it is. I don't know the relative wrist times for each watch, but it would seem that the more you wear the DRSD, the smaller the 6263 becomes.

Beautfiul DRSD and fantastic insert, but I'd be worried about the lume on the minute hand. Sure, you might be able to fix/stabilize it, but if I'm in the market for a DRSD I would think twice about this one.

It would be a shame to let that 6263 especially an example like yours but if its not gonna get any wrist time or doesnt sing to you anymore then maybe let someone else enjoy it..
Personally the 6263 having had mine for few weeks now has become my favourite watch to wear, most comfortable and I love it. My wrists are not the biggest so it sits and looks perfect... |

It looks perfect Andy , Im glad you found exactly what you wanted .
The Hand does really bother me , I really don't want to be looking for a replacement and taking the watch apart and possibly damaging the dial would really be awful. |

I still have it but one option is the guy who is holding the MK2, will take it in PX and that works well for me . He has been really great and delivered on his promise of finding me a Black Dial MK2 !. Albeit 30 months on from my request but here it is a black dial mk2 pp with perfect dial ,newer hands ,horrible pip but its a PP thin case mk2 black dial ,exactly what I have been asking for , The pip is a quick change , any other niggles I will try and live with . |
