A walk-about with the 5270 (pic heavy)

It's 75 and sunny in LA, so a nice day for a stroll. I snapped a bunch of photos of the 5270 along the way. None are great, but I thought I'd share just for fun..

Wonderful! What is so cool is the wide variation in the dial based on the different lighting.

Great post!

Super photos, I love the blue dial. And I think the 5270 has such a great case design. I wish the 5170 had a similar case.

I'm still working that out! They are so different, yet both offer so much. I'm grateful to own both, and if forced to choose, I really don't know what I'd do just yet. What I would say is I'm happy I bought the Platona first.

It's zero degrees around NYC, but that watch would still look beautiful

She's a beauty, how right you were to get the blue dial version, it's by far the most beautiful one available, I usually am not the kind of guy interested by those kind of watches, too dressy for me, but I could really make an exception for the blue dial 5270, much nicer IMO than the 5970P, also very cool but for me not as nice...

A truly great pairing. How thick is it? Any chance of a side by side with the Daytona?

I've read the 5270 is 12.4mm thick vs. the Daytona, which I've read is 12.2mm --- in any event, they are very close. As for the 5270, it works really well with most of my shirt cuffs. It can slide completely underneath, or I can "adjust" the cuff to allow some or all of it to be visible.

I will get you a side by side and some profile pictures later today or tomorrow.

Here you go, Neil. These are not the best photos - the best I could do tonight. I will try to get better ones in natural daylight this weekend.
