Watch going FROM Canada TO United States HELP :)
Am i legally allowed to sell my Canadian Rolex to someone in the USA? What are considerations i would have to take as a seller and are there Significant extra costs for the buyer? Is it safer for me to sell within Canada? Any information on tbis topic is appreciated !
Ps: have searched for similar topics and i think restrictions were lifted in the last couple of years ?? |

The watch would need to be declared whether it is shipped or brought into the US.

Yes, you can sell a Rolex and declare the entry as such into the U.S.
Any shipment over $2,500 will need a declaration and filling out a Customs and Border Protection form 5106 by the buyer. It will depend whether the recipient has received prior shipments over this amount, i.e. a business, or declared as a one time importation as an individual that will not require the import tax. |

I'm sure you can sell it. There is no restrictions there.
What the buyer needs to find out though is what taxes is he on the hook for if any to uncle Sam. His/her issue may be if down the road he gets questioned upon reentry into the US. The watch serial after all will say the watch was shipped by Rolex to Canada. |
