Incoming... My head hurts
So....... I'm not sure if this is a common occurrence - I just wired DavidSW a sum of money and if he gets the funds by tomorrow, I should get my new watch by Thursday morning! The anticipation is killing me and I needed somewhere to rant!!! I almost feel sick! Should I take the rest of the day off?
That is all. |

What a silly question. Of course you should take the day off. You should be drinking fine wine in one of SF's many wonderful restaurants by now. And plenty of it. Only way to get to Thursday.
Enjoy.

I hate the waiting. My last purchase (a few days ago) the AD "insisted" they keep the watch overnight as the tech wasn't in to size the bracelet.
I politely "insisted" I take the watch I just bought home and size it my self. |

Pics will be posted when I get it, and of course I won't reveal what it is till it arrives! I totally forgot about sizing! I'll be hitting the local RSC up once it arrives.

I have to say, the anticipation of waiting on a new watch is a big part of the fun for me.
Cheers! |

Over the phone he said it'll be shipped out first thing tomorrow morning given that the wire transfer was made in the later part of the afternoon. Does anyone know if a wire transfer is instant or does it take a couple of days to clear if it's not within the same bank?

It's a bit late now, but I'd stay at work today and take thursday off. Then after the incoming has arrived, head over to Van Ness Ave and treat yourself to a nice dinner at Ruth's Chris wearing said incoming and be sure to take lot's of photos and post! Congrats. I think it depends on the bank for the wire transfer. Ive never wired and pay the extra couple hundred and use paypal for the buyers protection, just in case. Ive had two transactions with DavidSW and couldn't be happier. Next time I'll probably just wire him. |

Wire cut off time is 2:00pm West Coast/5:00pm East Coast. If a wire transfer is made before these hours it will be received same day, if made after it will be sent the next day and should be received within a couple of hours.
Congrats on your new addition! DSW is a great seller. |

Ok take some advice from a fellow San Franciscan...firstly you are in the best hands humanly possible with DavidSW, so relax about the money! Secondly, go crack a crab, and get some garlic noodles at Crustacians, get a great bottle of Pinot Noir to wash it down...and when you wake up in the morning, your baby will be there! All of these remedies have been done by myself...several times, and it works for the stress!

If it's any consolation, you're not suffering alone. I've got an incoming due in today!! In fact, my brother in law works for Royal Mail and he just sent me a message to say he has as package for me and would I like him to take it now, rather than me have it delivered. I said yes, since he lives near to where I live and it avoids the risk of it going missing between the sorting office and home.
So, brother in law's house after work, then later this evening a trip to a friend of mine, who's a watchmaker and also lives nearby, to get the bracelet adjusted... then |
