E-Cigarette Battery Explodes in Man's Pants

This is pretty crazy to watch, not to mention a bit disturbing.

I got the same message Tim. However, I did see this story on the news this morning and it was horrifying. The e-cig "exploded" in his pants pocket and started on fire. He suffered serious burns. Anyone who uses these products would be well advised to not carry them in their pockets. This is not a rare event.

Wow, talk about a fire "down below", definitely not something I'd ever want to experience, morning John.

yeah those batteries are super sensitive and counterfitting the high end brands like sony and samsung is a huge business as a single battery can be sold for $20 a piece. And the counterfeited batteries, that have sony logo on it cant actually take the heat and amps that people are thinking they are able to take.

I had a dripper that caught on fire because my coils were too thick. E-cigs are simple, all they do is short out the battery's to create heat. Biggest problem seems to be the power buttons being pressed continuously in the pocket

He simply had a bare battery in his pocket. When he put the change he received from his purchase in his pocket it shorted the battery causing it to vent. Any quality ecig has many safeties to prevent this from occurring. Counterfiet products do not.

Grown men stand around the campus at work making huge clouds with these things. They always smell fruity or like bubble gum. They really look foolish, like they're playing with a toy. In addition to the chronic health risks of these chemical sticks, you can now add immediately hazardous to life and health by spontaneous combustion.

X2. But people who Vape simply do it for a nicotine fix, just like cigs.
We cigar lovers are different, it is a hobby not a habit.
