Back in September, 2003 when my wife and I were on a cruise in Hawaii for our honeymoon, we attended a live show at the cruise ship. At the end of the show, an announcement was made at the theatre informing folks that a gentleman has lost his Rolex and if anyone has found it, please return it.

I thought to myself, he won't find it anymore.

A day and a half later, an announcement over the PA came on again. The speaker said "For the gentleman who lost his Rolex, the time now is....".

I found that very funny at the same time restored my faith that good and honest people are still around.

Reminded me of the old joke: Over the PA in a department store: "A diamond ring has been found on the 2nd floor. Would all the owners please wait in line in front of the manager's office?"

Great story. Imagine if everyone were as honest. I like to think that anyone would do the same thing.

I had the same thought. They may have been having a joke with him, telling him the time because he didn't have a watch .

or

They were reading the time off his watch before returning it .
