Tudor Tiger VS Non-Tiger 79280

Hello guys!

I'm debating if I should get the Tudor Tiger Chrono or the NON-Tiger 79280 version... What do you guys think?

Is the Tiger more of a collector piece since it was just produced from 1999-2002 VS until 2007 for the NON-Tiger.

I bought a Omega Speedmaster edition Schumacher Yellow Dial years ago, thinking it will go higher in value, but that wasn't the case at all...what about the Tudor Tiger ?

Thanks for your help!

I bought a 79260p non tiger. I bought it because I personally do not like the tiger on the dial. Value aside I like the cleaner dial. Maybe if I golfed but I don't so I went with what I liked more. But back to the question of value I would go with the non tiger dial. From what I have sent the non fetches a little more right now but the future might have somthing else in store.

Buy what you like. I personally can't stand T. Woods, but pretend my watch commemorates a British car with a big v8 or a ww2 era airplane. . .not the adulterous cry baby.

Love the watch but don't like Tiger. The big blocks seems to command more money.

Any Tudor w/o the Tiger on the dial is desirable. You've been burned before with the Omega Schumacher in the past, I doubt you want that to happen again.

Buying for possible future increased value takes the fun out of the purchase and is a guessing game at best. When you buy what you like value is guaranteed.

Tudor Tiger VS Non-Tiger 79280

I think the Prince non Tiger version is a better choice, as not everyone likes the Tiger logo, so probably harder to profit from one with the logo in the future. My Prince post Tiger 79260 says hi! 😀

I bought a non Tiger some years ago and at the time I thought the Tiger was a bit of a gimmick, just my personal opinion though

I wouldn't buy these as "investments" anyway. I would buy because I like the look. 20 plus years ago I bought a used "Tiger" at a Tourneau for about $1,200. Loved it. Yes, it is worth more today. This was way before I thought about watches every day.
A Ben Bridge store started blowing theirs out shortly after that, and I thought how cool it would be to collect all the colors. I didn't have the moolah back then.
The average price of Tigers runs upper teens-$4,000 these days, depending on conditions of course.
If you like the color options, go for the Tiger. You won't lose your shirt.

I just picked up a Tiger and really love it ... I guess the non tigers might have a better chance of going up in value.. Although I bought mine based on how I felt about the looks and condition at a certain price point
