Officer down

Prince William County Virginia Officer, on her first day on the job was murdered last night, two other officers shot but survived. God Bless you Officer Guindon, may your family, brothers and sisters find peace.
Thanks Rich Mickol for the heads up on this. 2016 is turning out to be a very deadly year for US Police officers.

These kinds of things are always tragic but this one's a real heartbreaker. RIP OFC Guindon.

I wonder if it's a trend or if the press is giving these instances more attention based on other high profile shootings involving police in the US. Either way, it's a damn shame when this does happen. On a different note, one police chief saved a lot of lives last Thursday.

RIP.

Looks like the shooter is a US Army soldier stationed at the Pentagon.

This happened close to my neck of the woods. Manassas to Woodbridge is 15 or so miles.
Here in VA, if you are a cop killer you will definitely get the needle in the arm.

What a horrible tragedy! I read about this earlier and felt so sad for her, after all just graduating from the academy and the very first day on duty. Blessing go out to her, rest in peace and condolences to the family. I hope the person that did it rots in hells for what they did to this young lady.
Aloha from Kauai to you young one.

First day on the job.
This is beyond tragic.
You're right Tim, this has been a very tragic year for LEO's so far.

This is one of the most tragic LODD's I've heard about. I can still remember my first shift on FTO, and to think she didn't make it back from hers really hits right in the gut. RIP Officer Guindon.

This world is going to hell. 2nd day on the job and first day on the road.

I feel terrible for her department and especially her FTO.
