My first love finally at home...again!

Hi all,
I wrote a thread few months ago telling the story about this particular watch.... My first love (when my uncle introduced me in the brand) was the 16710. I was 8 years old and had no idea how this day influenced in my life! After my uncle's death (when I was 14) turned nearly to an obsession to get my first! I was very young and the only model attracted me was the 114270. My mind and my heart were not ready to get the 16710 (my uncle's grail) Then studies, girls, friends and a couple of things more distracted my preferences a bit...till one day I had the opportunity to get my first! Excited with the money in my pocket I went to the local AD with the idea to buy my Explorer! When I was there sweating like a monster asked for the explorer and my world changed in a second!! An amazing 16600 was laying on the table!! With my tongue touching my knees I said: sorry I want that one!! So my first one really was my SD!
Now! 16 years after got my first and several watches added in my collection...the 114270 is here!!...again!! (bought past November and a week later sent to visit RSC due to a problem in the rotor's axle)
Welcome home Mr. Explorer!!

Thanks all for reading! and sorry for the long story!

Congratulations! I recently picked up one, too, and have to force myself to wear other watches (just put on my Sub for a change). The Explorer I is such a great, understated, and timeless piece!
