Has anyone tried a deployant on the diver or new offshore chromo?
I am thinking about getting a new strap for a forged carbon diver. AP makes a 29mm x 20mm strap for the new chronos (20mm at the buckle), and there are now both tang and deployant options. Has anyone tried the deployant? Thanks!

Can't answer personally about the deployment, but it seems the tang is much preferred over the deployment. My 44 is of course on tang and I love it.

I studied it carefully at the AP boutique in Geneva. Not sure what the correct term is, but it's a one-sided deployant.....the buckle is at one end, not in the middle. Even the staff pointed out that it can dig into the wrist...

I owned a FC Diver for 2 years. Occasionally, I took off the black rubber strap on deployment from my Jarno Trulli and put it on the FC Diver (I was able to do this since I also owned a grey horned back on tang from a ROO Grey Themes). The narrower rubber strap from the Trulli felt quite comfortable on the FC Diver but did look a tad small visually (more below).
After putting the narrower rubber strap from the Trulli on the FC Diver, I quickly realized that the FC Diver's bezel is alot thinner than the bezel on the Trulli (which has same thickness as other ROO bezels). This makes the FC Diver's dial look larger, making the tapered rubber strap look proportionately "off". Fellow TRF-ers who have owned both a ceramic or FC Diver and a ROO will understand what I am trying to explain here.

Thank you for your comments. I think I may try the 20mm strap with a tang buckle first. The tang buckle is $364 and the deployant is $695. I might try a short strap too, since my wrist is fairly small.
