Poll: Favorite SS Daytona
I posted a favorite Black Bay poll, and thought that a favorite SS Daytona poll would be interesting as well. Please vote for your favorite. "Steel Bezel" means year 2000 and later, and of course "Ceramic Bezel" means the Basel 2016 releases.

Daytona-C white dial by far my favorite SS daytona of all time. I know most of you would say the 60s paul newmans. But its only wanted do to its high price and rarity but i personally dont like the lightweight and small feel of them. Im a modern watch type collector so daytona-c is a winner for me.

I like the black and might source the WG Panda dial as a white option.

I think this is too hard to say before actually seeing the new models.
I like my current white faced version but the new one looks really good as well so I can't say |

Agreed! But it is interesting that in the Black Bay poll the present models are winning. One poster called that owner bias, which I thought was a fair point. But here it seems there is less owner bias here, and a new model will win. |

Having the white SS model, I am heavily drawn to the new black ceramic.

Until I see the ceramic models in person, I think that the steel bezel looks better.
Everyone is debating on whether or not the price of the 116520 models will fall. If it does, then I might look at a white dial 116520 for the wife. |

I voted for the white dial SS model--after all, it's the one I purchased and I haven't seen the new Ceramic models in person, though I find both very appealing.
I chose the white dial Daytona because I already owned several watches with black dials. Submariner, GMT Master II, Explorer. Down the road, I may add the Ceramic Daytona to my collection. I say down the road because of availability and cost. I'm torn between the white and black dial Ceramic models. The black dial would provide the most contrast with my current white dial Daytona. On the other hand, the Ceramic Model with the white dial has black outer rings around the subdials, as opposed to the silver outer rings on all the other SS models. I find the silver outer rings on my white dial Daytona is hard to read...the silver reflects light and this makes using the chronograph difficult. I think the black outer rings will be easier to read. I'll just have to wait and see how they appear in person...for example, if the legibility of the black and white ceramics is comparable, I'd probably choose the black. If there is, in fact, a real advantage in legibility to the white dial, then I'd choose it. |

I like them all and currently own a SS Zenith movement but the white / ceramic is becoming the runaway winner for me.

Poll needs a Bakelite / Black option.

Wow. The black ceramic is taking a beating. Ironically, it's been growing on me more and more.
