116610LV vs 16610LV update poll

So I was browsing subs with my 4-year old, and we came across the 116610lv. He loved it and said, "Daddy, buy that one for me!" He's seen it in an AD before and they were even kind enough to let HIM try it on. Apparently, he didn't forget, and still loves it. Then I showed him the 50th Annivesary 16610LV. He told me he didn't like it because "the black there" pointing at the dial. It was good for a laugh because apparently he already knows what he likes in a watch. So it got me thinking, and I did a little research. The only poll I could find was from 2011. So let's have a 2016 poll. 116610LVc or 16610LV?

I'm with the kid! I never warmed up to the clash of green and black. LVC for me :)

Original 2003 LV with the olive green bezel, OR the late ones with the dark forest green bezel, OR the LVC :-) I'd skip the middle year 5-digit ones.

I feel that the LV is more valuable and more of historic timepiece.

But I just like the LVC better

Correct. I add that flat 4 mkI is a touch of classic.
Otherwise LVc is glorious especially under the sun.

the 50 Anniv was my first Rolex. I stared a hole through it for a year, then found TRF and became a watch swapping swinger with no watch loyalty at all. I was always looking for the next piece. Anyhow, iVe had both and the Hulk is more striking but the 16610LV is a classic....

Like them both, prefer the 5 digit. Just enough green.

Love the sunburst dial on the 6 digit, but I think it'd be even better matched with a black bezel.

116610LV for me. The dial is amazing and sets it apart.
I do still love the 16610LV however. I could accommodate one very nicely into my collection despite already owning a LVc

I just feel like Rolex has nailed it with the ceramic bezel so I've got to go 116610.

5 digit has the classic case design yet the maxi dial upgrade which is a plus for me for improved visibility.

Easily the LVc. Really, no contest.

The dial ().
The bezel (long-lasting and tough).
The lugs (more sport, more tough, more masculine, more true to the original).
The bracelet (solid).
The clasp (glide lock for the win).
The little updates to the movement (incremental).
