Navitimer 01 43mm / New leather strap
Hi guys
I own a beautiful Navitimer 41mm with the calf leather band. It even enjoys as much, if not more, wrist time as my Rolex GMT2 Unfortunately the leather is wearing out and is starting to look a bit shabby. The leather strap with the folding clasp costs AUD$590 in Australia Any suggestions where to get a new original one at a good price? Or maybe a different brand but I'd prefer it to be as good or better quality as the original ones? Cheers from Down under! Ken |

I'm not sure if you'll have any luck but try searching on eBay for an original strap. I own a Navitimer as well and swapped out the original calf strap for a Hirsch strap within days of purchasing it and never changed it back, the quality and feel is great for the price.

The stitches seem very of not equal to the original trap. Do you have the folding clasp as well? I'd prefer not to go back to the normal clasp |

I've got a black croc from JLC on mine with a Breitling tang buckle. Like it even more than the one which originally came with the watch. Great quality and feel to it and it has much finer stitching. Can't remember what it cost me though. Cheers from Switzerland Fred

Thinking out of the box, have you considered having a strap made for your watch? There are many amazing strap smiths out there (Stone creek, the strap smith, Dangerous 9, Ted Su, Gunny, just to name a few). With the price for the OEM strap you mentioned, you could probably get 4 straps from these guys, and they are just as good (if not better).
Changing straps is a lot of fun, you should give it a try. |

Also, check out combat-straps.com. Very high quality, well made custom straps, at prices comparable to if not better than oem.
