I believe Patek has been using it in a ref# or two. It is interesting yet might also be a bit fragile. Only time will tell if it is truly long-term durable for the task at hand.

Silicon (the element) not silicone the compound.
Pet peeve of mine... But it is similar to circuit board crystals. Based on its extremely low mass it would probably take a nuclear blast to shift it out of line enough to break. I think it is absolutely brilliant technology personally. |
