Advice about 2014 Submariner two tone
I purchased a submariner two tone from an authorized dealer in New York in August 2014. The watch is still under warranty.
I have only worn the watch twice for less than 20 hours of wear time. I have noticed that the shinny case surface next to the crown and opposite to the crown has started to become dull. My local dealer and supposedly Rolex! say that it is from wear and not a manufacturing issue. This seems implausible. Has anyone had experience with this. What Should I do? |

Are you saying that after 2 years the stainless steel case isn't as shiny as it was when new and so this is a manufacturing defect ?

Regarding what to do, I recommend wearing the watch more.

Have you checked to see if you removed the plastic protection
off of the crown guards and surrounding area ? They may still be there thus the apparent dullness in that area . |

Two options here. Post up some photos and let's see what you're talking about.
Second, not all AD's are bad but if you really feel there is something wrong, call the Dallas RSC, explain the situation and send the watch to them. Might cost you 30 bucks to ship it but you'll know for sure if there is really something wrong. From the way you describe how little you wear the watch, I doubt it's wear. Scratches maybe, but wear, I doubt it. I agree with the possibility of a sticker still on the watch. Today I just peeled stickers off my new watch and I'm sure I'll find more 6 months from now. Good Luck
