When you have more than 3 watches.....
Here is my trio and I love all 3!! I think they provide me plenty of versatility and I'm able to wear each of them at least twice a week. I don't feel like I'm done yet though. I kind of want the 116622 YM with the blue dial, a Daytona, and a GMT Ceramic and who knows what another promotion might bring LOL.
My question is when you have more than 3 how do you wear them all? Some of you have 5 or 6 or more watches, to me that means some don't get worn often. I use to be real frugal (I mean cheap) so I think it would bother me to have unworn watches. Anyway just let me know your thoughts, first world problems of course!!

I usually alternate between two every other day without a winder.
The rest I let them stop. Some are for special occasions and get worn once in a while. Some I mostly worn on vacations. |

I open the safe, grab a piece, hop on a plane and forget about any other pieces for 5 days. As soon as I get back home I switch watches as soon as I kiss the Wife and hold the kids. The rotation is sporadic at best.

I have basically a six watch rotation. True, some get worn more than others, but there is a perfect occasion for each of my watches. I would say that each of them sees some wrist time in any given two-week period.
To answer your question - if you're going to have more than three watches they should all be pretty different from each other. This will ensure that each one has a specific purpose and will get worn. |

I'm down to three and I will usually wear one for a week or two then switch to something else.
I like the way they are all within seconds of each other.

It is an interesting question as I've got a fair number of watches; currently I wear them for several days and then switch. I look to wear ones I haven't worn recently. I've been curious as to what others do as well. Sometimes what is shown on the site here will direct my interest and cause me to switch out of sympathy.

OP I love it that 2 out of 3 are GMTs.
IMO the most useful watch.

When I had 3, I would wear mine for a month at a time in rotation.
I have been on a shopping spree and now have 7. I am going to see what gets the most wrist time and probable sell a couple off. |

I keep about three at home in the rotation. I usually wear a piece for 1 or 2 weeks at a time, occasionally switching to another for a Saturday night out or something. The rest are at the bank. I'll pull some out of there periodically and stow a couple from the house in the bank when I fee like it. True, some of my watches don't get worn for months at a time. No biggie, doesn't bother me at all.

I have worked my way up to 7. I get bored with all of them at times so I move on to something else. Somehow no matter how many I own I always think I would like another. Really stupid but you only live once.

Lord almighty...look at ALL these posts!!
1). I ONLY have 3 ROLEXES 2). I have 7 and switch in between 3). i SWITCH 2 Rolexes a day Y'all should be Ashamed of such "royalty"....oh wait, Rolex is Crown King...I guess its ok..LOL. Once again, we should all be thankful we have such good fortune and never forget to give back if we can... On my end, depends on how I "feel", I may wear the Seamaster for half a day, then switch to the LVC, then maybe switch to the Blue dial Seamaster...all in ONE day. vanity at its finest..:)

It is interesting seeing all the different approaches. I have three Rolexes, one Tudor Big Block, three Omega vintage dress watches, several other vintage watches, and several "home-made" watches (sterile dials, not rip-offs). I tend to wear the 114060 or one of the home-mades during the day, and switch to one of the others at night as the mood strikes. For the vintages, I have a display in my home office with period-correct boxes that I've picked up off E-Bay. It's irrational, but I like the psychic pleasure of having them around.

I have....lost count of my watches. Many, folks here prob are not even interested.
Currently I have over 12+ G-Shocks. 3 Rolex, 1 vintage Omega, 7+ Seikos, 1 Citizen Bullhead, 1 JLC MUT Moon, 1 Breitling, 1 Doxa, 1 Seagull 1963 Chrono, 4 Victorinox Swiss Army Quartz, 2 homage watches I assemble myself that I don't wear at all (Panerai and IWC alike). Regardless of their price, I love them all equally. Usually my decision goes by 1) The watch that suits my outfit today 2) try not to wear the same watch I wear yesterday. |

I'm out of town 3-4 days every week with 1 piece, then I rotate on the weekends between 2-3. Usually bring 2-3 watches with me on holiday so everyone gets a chance on the wrist, some more than others.

Nice collection. I am currently at 11 Rolexes, Tudors and Omegas. I switch daily and sometimes multiple times a day. I match the watch to the activity and all watches get worn. Some more than others. In the last year or so I have been down to four but now am up. At some point I will cut back to 4,5,6 but not now. Enjoy.

When I had 2, I rotated weekly. Now I have no system. I think a 2-3 watch rotation is ideal for me but I am just too impulsive when I see a watch that I like
