It seems there are a TON of people that get their purchase narrowed down to a Sub vs a GMT IIc, and then when they compare both watches in person, they choose the GMT IIc. To me, this watch is the perfect mis of dressiness, bling, and sportiness. (Not sure if any of those are actual words, but you know what I mean).

Congrats! Wear it in good health.

I know what that decision is like. I also chose the GMT IIC over the Sub.

Thanks for the kind comments! Had it for a few hours now and I am used to it already. The dealer said the numbers in the rotatable bezel are platinum, is that true?

I love the fit/feel of my GMT IIc. It feels the best on my wrist more than any other watch in my collection. Congratulations on buying a very fine Rolex watch.

Yup, that's the one.

The only GMT that beats it is the TT.

Welcome to the club.

Thanks again for your nice comments! I heard this is a popular watch, as it is with the SS sub. I had a hard time deciding which to get, both watches are great in their own way. I did like the sub no date because of its "balanced" dial, but I like the GMT II because of the date, bezel & new bracelet. I am surprised to hear it has platinum numbers in the bezel.
