Hi,
First post here :) I need some advice... I have the opportunity to make an offer for a nice platinum Day-Date which is supposedly a year 2000 model (serial # starts with P). The thing is, it has a silver dial marked "T SWISS MADE T" which means tritium lume, as I learned from this forum ![]() Isn't tritium supposed to have been phased out in 97 or 98? Could this indicate that the dial has been replaced? If so, should I negotiate a lower price? I like the watch very much, but I'm a Rolex newbie so I'm a bit nervous about buying such a high value piece ![]() Thanks! |

You cannot use the typical Internet charts for dating a Platinum Day-Date or solid gold models.
