The Unoffical Snoopy Thread

Considering there are only 1,970 pieces, I am super curious to see how many owners are on TRF.

Clearly, they are not all out there yet, but I have got to imagine if you are a snoopy owner and you are on TRF you will see this thread.

So I will start by saying "1". If you have one, please follow up with "2", and then continue....so on...and so forth...

If you will...

"1"

Thanks for playing....

The Daytona looks like a display watch judging by how the hands are set.

Thanks!

I wasn't even aware that it had been released. Because of work and other life stuff I had not been spending much time on the forums last year and honestly Omega wasn't doing anything for me over the last decade so i was completely unaware of new releases. One day I popped on and saw the Snoopy and also saw, at least according to everyone on the various forums and every dealer I called, that it was completely sold out. Most would not even put me on a list. Being a life long Peanuts fan I really wanted this watch. I jumped on the forums and started searching. Over on TZ, a longtime regular had just listed his 2 week old for sale. It was a couple grand over list but I contacted him and made him an offer of list. He countered with list plus tax plus shipping. 48 hours later I had it on my wrist. His reason for sale is a week after he bought it he got a call from another dealer and his grail PP had come in. He decided a new PP and a new Omega in one month was excessive so the snoopy had to go. As they say in life, sometimes timing is everything

It is a weird thing how everything happened.

I read an article on the web about the Silver Snoopy some time ago and was in love with it right away and thougt that it would be imposible to get one so forgot about it but still was hooked on the classic Speedmasters. Looking to get a Speedmaster 3750, I contacted a good friend of mine that is manager at the Omega Boutique and asked him if he could get me the 3750 but the one that come with the new black box with extra straps and loupe. He told me they just received one and that he would hold on it for me until the weekend when i could go by to pay for it. Long story made short, someone came and bought the watch before i got there due to miscommunication between the people at the boutique. My friend felt bad because of this and told me he would orden another one right away so i said ok, lets wait. Two days later, he called me to ask me if i still wanted a Silver Snoopy so i jumped right away with a big smile on my face and said YES. They were getting one so i was going to be the new owner. Another long story made short, when the watch got to the store and nobody had made deposit on it, one of the owners liked it so much that he kept it for himself. Again my friend couldnt find a way to explain what happened this time. Increíble, 2 weeks later he got a chance to get another one, and thats my first one.

Its a funny thing how my path come across my first Silver Snoopy.

Eventhough I had seen an article on the web about the Silver Snoopy some time ago, and felt completely in love the watch at the time, I sure though it was going to be impossible for me to get one of those. Assuming that, I turned my view into the new Speedmaster 3750 with the bigger black box with the two straps ans the loupe. I called a good friend of my that works at the Omega Boutique and ask him for the 3750 and he told me they only had one in stock. I told him to hold on it until the weekend that I could go by to pay for it. Time came and went to get the watch and it was sold. My friend felt sorry and told me he would order another one right away and would take 2 weeks for it to arrive, so it was time for me to wait. Couple of days later, my friend call me and asked if I would be interested on a new model that was just arriving, guess what, the Silver Snoopy it was. It brought a huge smile to my face because I was really in love with the watch and what it commemorates, so I said sureeee, I want it. Long story made short, when the watch arrived to the OB, there was somebody else also expecting the watch, got ahead of me and bought it right away just a couple of minutes after it arriving. My friend felt worse than before and promessed me he would do whatever to try to get me one Silver Snoopy. A couple of weeks later, things came thru and I got a called from my friend to come by and pick up my watch. That's how I came across the first one.

Couple of weeks later at a get together, I told the whole story to my cousin and show him the watch. he really liked it and also wanted one. I call my friend once again to see if he could do his magic and get another one and believe it or not, they got one in stock that was supposed to go to an island in the Caribean but the other owner backed out and the watch was available right away. My cousin bought the watch the next day but same as me, never got to worn the watch. Weeks later after seen how prices were climbing on the Internet, I decided to trade my cousin my Rolex Submariner 2 tone ceramic for his Silver Snoopy and we were both happy with the deal. He always liked my blue sub a lot more. So right now, and from that time on, both Silver Snoopy's have been sitting on my safe box, unworned.

My idea was not to sell either watch but have considered trading one for a Audemars Piguet Diver, or selling it to free funds to buy a new model Rolex Yachtmaster. Would see what happens.

Dude. Wear one.

Sell the other to fund your next purchase.

Huge win scenario.

I can only admire your pics guys, had the bad news last week my AD who has promised me mine since release that now they will not be able to fulfil my order

Shame as it was the first Omega since I missed out on the original PO LM that got my interest sparked.

Not having much luck with LE Omega's
