Rare cloth dial Submariner...

I've been told by an expert that my watch is an extremely rare Submariner blue cloth dial, no hands , no numerals and no date version. Although I love the piece i have to admit it is not the most practical watch I have owned.

Whilst it's rarity is a source of great pleasure to me , the need to count in my head upto 60 before moving the bezel 2 clicks anti clockwise to keep track of the minutes elapsed is becoming tiresome-I haven't slept in 10 days for fear of losing track of the time forever. After each full rotation of the bezel I then have to memorise the the new hr I've arrived at before starting the process again.

Just to balance out the (minor) inconveniences noted above I must say that the feeling of being 'part of the watch' whilst performing the 'manual timing process' is wonderful. After a few days of non stop bezel clicking you actually feel like you have become a watch- it is a magical thing, so much so that on day 7 I think the emotion of it all became too much and I have begun weeping uncontrollably for the last 3 days (and nights).

Anyway, now to the real reason for my post. I have decided after much soul searching to trade the watch here on TRF. Here's the deal:

My rare Submariner blue cloth dial, no hands , no numerals and no date for your BNIB Daytona Ceramic Black Dial plus $22500 my way.

The first TRF member to post up on the this thread agreeing to the deal will get the piece. Please do not PM me offering your whole watch collection, begging to hand over vast sums or sexual favours.......it will not happen ....first person posting up agreeing to the deal gets the watch - simple.

Thank you for your time.

Steve

Thanks Paul, I genuinely appreciate it. I am in total shock that no one has made a serious offer yet. I'm fairly new here but it's obvious that most members don't seem to appreciate a unique timepiece and would rather hang onto their new Daytona C's than trade up. Unbelievable.

Sir, I believe your watch to be a fake, and the reason I say this is because your watch seams to be floating on top of the water whilst a real Sub loves to dive under it.

I'd ask more, your example also has an inverted crown logo.

Great post!

Great post!
I hate the fact it's inverted, I know there have been threads on this subject but there must be a way for Rolex to have the crown perfectly aligned!
