Icon5 Advice: Pls help me choose...

I'm very interested in acquiring a nice FP and I'm trying to choose between these two...

Item PP102f "Parker International Duofold Fountain Pen, c1989"
http://fivestarpens.com/international-duofold-pf-s.html

and

Item PP80 "Parker Premier FP, Sterling Cisele, c1980"
http://fivestarpens.com/parker_1.html

I'm wondering which would make the better "everyday user"? Or the FP equivalent of a "beater-watch".

Which is less leak-prone?

Which is more likely to hold its value?

Any other thoughts from this esteemed community would be very much appreciated.

Thanks you!

Colin

I agree with Richard, buy the Duofold over the others..…now you need to decide between Red or Blue as your choice. If it were me I'd go with the blue over the red(just because blue is my favorite color)…..

Good luck and take care…..Leo

I love both colors. The burgundy is excellent and the blue is mouth watering, but I have just an inkling of a leaning toward the blue.

However you cannot go wrong with either. I think I own about 5 Duofolds. Love them all.

This was my last Duofold purchase:

The blue Duofold. At that price I would probably buy them both. Because I would not be able to decide against the red.
