Hello World, I'm new.
Hi All, I just inherited a 1969 1601 two tone. I has all the original paper work, case and box. It has not been worked on for a very long time if ever. Now I want to get it serviced and a new crystal as the one on it is very fogged and scratched. I'm not sure how to proceed so, I'm trying to do some research. I read on this forum that many people do not like the idea of having their watchs polished. I'm not sure now if I should or not. I do love how the ones I see online that have been polished look.
If anyone has some good advice I would love to hear from you. I live in the Los Angeles area. CHEERS, Kenny |

Welcome to TRF. It most likely needs to be serviced. The Rolex Service Center will take care of that for you but as you may know just be a bit careful that they don't take away any vintage qualities of it. I'd have it polished. Does not bother me a bit if it is done right.
