My First Vintage Acquired
Took the plunge and joined the vintage club. A 1971 GMT Master. I learned a lot from reading the various posts and felt this was a good start to vintage collecting.

Congratulations, that GMT looks to be in excellent condition. You will never regret owning a GMT Master.
You might consider trying a jubilee bracelet. |

Very nice looking piece. Also try it with a black bezel insert, looks great on my 1972 1675.

The prime regret you'll have buying your first vintage is that you'll wish you'd done so a lot sooner. Congrats and welcome!

Thx for the nice comments! The more I wear it, the more I like it. The seller is ordering me a tool to remove the bracelet so I can pair the watch with different NATO bands. I think a red with blue stripes will sit nice.

Very nice! Same here! http://imgur.com/a/fFZ06
Er, it's a bit of a slippery slope, though. As other members have posted it's hard to stop at just one. Best of luck...and when you decide it's time to get the second, ask for advice here, you'll avoid pitfalls and have the opportunity to buy from very reputable sellers, at possibly better prices than you might find on Chrono24 etc. |
