Is the increase 7% across the board with all non limited models? Or even more of an increase with specific high selling models?

I was in Selfridges in London yesterday and was told 15% across the board...seems quite steep to me.

I was in selfridges too, the main guy who is usually at the Panerai stand wasnt there. Someone else was who was much less knowledgeable, so I wouldnt really take his word for it. I also went to Wempe on Bond Street and the guy there said the price increase will vary depending on each model..

there was a lovely 289 in Selfridges yesterday.. was really tempted to get it.. but £14k+ was a bid much for an impulse purchase.!

How high do you think these prices can go before the buying public says that really exceeds the value of what I am buying?

Yep, AD told me 10% yesterday in an effort to get me to pull the trigger. Must be true since all of you are in the know as well... Bummer...

Maybe he meant 10% because he added the state and fed tax.

Wow, didn't we just have a price increase in April?? IF this keeps up, Panerai prices will be astronomical soon...lucky for those that became ristis before everyone discovered PAMs.

They had 3 increases this year (last being 7%) and the AD I was at yesterday is expecting another in late december.

I find this worrisome. Panerai has always been a brand that controls prices and volume to generate a clamor and "demand." I find it hard to believe these recent increases are simply covering cost increases or currency issues. I think it more an effort to become a PP, Lange, or AP in the market. That's unfortunate.

The Dollar is up against the Euro to about the same level as this time last year. If they're saying it's because of the Dollar they are pulling your leg (and maybe pushing against something else lol).

Has anyone else heard of this Dec price increase? Or is he trying to woo you into another purchase with that sales talk?

I figured it was a Christmas present from Panerai.
