Which of this guitarist was the most influential in your opinion?

They rock the world and changed the evolution of guitar playing! Making everyone fantasize of becoming one! Which one do you think was it?

That is such a hard question and highly debatable. Hendrix is the guy that kicked everyone on your list in the a$$ and raised the bar. If you ask Page, Clapton, or Beck what they were thinking the first time they saw Jimi, they would all tell you they knew they had to go back to the woodshed because their world had changed after watching him play. I personally love all of them along with Pete Townshend, Stevie Ray, Brian May, etc., etc. My favorite of late is John Frusciante.

Dead on, I think. He laid the groundwork for all these guys listed.

For me, it's my brother. He plays lead guitar with the Atlanta Soul Band.

Here's a link to his MySpace page. Link

Here, here, Jim! The list of great guitar players that changed music is a long one indeed.
I'll add: Luther Perkins [Johnny Cash]
T Bone Walker
Keef Richards [best rhythm player ever]
Chuck Berry
Bo Diddley
Chet Atkins
Roy Buchanan

From the list I must say Hendrix. Technically there were, and are, better players but he brought something new to the scene. Off the list, well, there are many guitar players I like but which of them really brought something new into this world?

Django Reinhardt
Jan Akkerman
Steve Vai
Stochelo Rosenberg
Mark Knopfler
Hank Marvin

If you look at Rolling Stones Magazine’s Top 100 Guitarists, you see Keith Richards at #10 and Eddie van Halen at #70 and with all due respect, I don’t think Keith, as a guitar player, is better than Eddie.

I am a huge Clapton / Richards fan but, I must say none of the above. All were influenced by the Delta Blues masters. Without them Hendrix, Clapton, Richards etc would never have been.

I like Slash, O.K. and he is still making music so his fame hasn't peaked just yet as a guitar legend.

Slash cam through Smyrna Georgia during the summer of 1989 and bought a late 50's gold top from a friend. Nice guy.

django reihardt with his 2 fingers totally influenced a lot of jazz guitar players! I have seen a doc not too long ago how this kids in the park would tape their other fingers ( left hand ) just to play like him!Good one!

But this question also touches a small raw nerve with me. My musical skills are totally non existent, in fact, a brick could play better guitar than me

But I've always been a great fan of the guitar and as a teenager took a few classical guitar lessons. It was a complete disaster! Just when I was about to give up myself, my teacher said that it was better to find another pastime

I saw a documentary about guitar playing once and one of the musicians interviewed was Jan Akkerman. A very humble and down to earth guy and one of those players who makes it look so easy. Child's play (pun indented). He owns a string of guitars and showed some licks on a Les Paul Custom. Fluent, relaxed play with great technical skill. I was gritting my teeth, green with envy so to speak. (Not really, but I have great admiration for those guys).

Same goes for the Rosenberg Trio brothers. They do Hot Club de France work, greatly influenced by Django Reinhardt. The lead guitarist, Stochelo Rosenberg, even takes the above a step further. What makes their play even more wondrous is the fact that none of them can read sheet music! They play everything by heart! So if they want to record a new song, or a song with another artist, they listen to it first and start repeating and rehearsing until they can record it. But boy can they play

Growing up as a teen in the early 70's I loved, Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, (Pink Floyd), Joe Walsh (Meadows Rocky, Rocky Mountain Way and Life's Been Good), Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath). One of my favourite and obscure heavy metal bands of the 70's is Budgie, if you have never heard of them listen to the tracks Zoom Club, Breadfan, Nude Disintegrating Parachutist Woman.
Richie Blackmore (Deep Purple) on the live album on Made in Japan is amazing.

My seventeen year old son and his mates like Led Zep, Deep Purple, Slash, but the one guitarist they all love is Jimi Hendrix, a man who has stood the test of time

Hendrix isn't my favorite ever, but I do think he influenced more rock guitarists than anyone else in the rock era.

Some of my favorites:
Richard Thompson
Ty Tabor
Nels Cline
Nuno Bettencourt
Bill Nelson
Frank Zappa
