Low number in a production run question
Not that I'm even considering selling my pam161, however I've always wondered if there is a greater inherent value attributed to an item that has a low number as part of its production run. Regardless, it'll always be worth that little bit more to me.
FWIW I have J006/500 that I purchased from the boutique in Firenze. |

Not sure about value but I had a chance to buy an 88 that was J0002/5000. I thought it was neat. It was sold while I was thinking about it though.
My 251 is J911/1000. Kind of a bad number but one I'll remember. It would be interesting if you randomly got your birthday or anniversary etc as the serial number. |

The only number in the Paneristi community that seems to have a higher value are the ones with 8, 88 or 888 in them. I just sold a 001 serial. Didn't ask for more because of the number.

Asian numerology. The sound that numbers make when spoken, sound like other words in Asian languages and are considered auspicious or inauspicious based on those other wrods.
For example, The word for eight in Mandarin sounds similar to the word which means "prosper" or "wealth" . In regional dialects the words for "eight" and "fortune" are also similar, eg Cantonese "baat" and "faat". Conversely the number four is considered an unlucky number in Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Japanese cultures because it sounds like the word "death" |
