Another suspicious 1680 red Submariner?
Perusing for counterfeits, I came upon this watch.
To me, the bezel insert seems artificially aged. The inner part up against the crystal shows signs that the anodization has been completely removed. This is a sign, to me, that someone sanded it. Also the other scratches in the bezel insert don't seem natural/normal looking. And why does he not have pics of the inside of the case back and between the lugs? Also different patina on the hands and markers and no description AT ALL of the watch. What is the consensus on this one? I am dubious of it. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53...mtid=824&kw=lg |

Yes, when I scratch my insert the scratches always follow around the insert. Smells fishy to me too

I would recommend holding off and waiting for a nicer condition piece for that much money.
This would be a different discussion if it was at a lower price point. |

Why? Better to look for decent genuine ones than waste time on the hunt for fakes
