Incoming Yard-O-Led fountain pen

Bought second hand but never inked, I intend to use it. Such a lovely pen, and will partner my Y-O-L pencil well.

We are still learning until the day we die. Let's spread the knowledge.

Difference. Most Yard-O-Led fountain pens I have seen are usually sterling silver. Very beautiful.

Looks great! I didn't know Yard O Lead made pens that where not all silver. Looks like I have a ways to learn about the brand. Seriously though, a YOL will end up in my collection sooner than later. Congrats!!

YOL pens of any kind are some of the best on the market. A wonderful instrument made in the UK and you have to love the hallmarks they stamp them with! Kind of unique! I own two of them. On Corinthian BP and a 1940s pencil in perfect condition. I did own a Pocket Barley, but it was a medium nib that wrote like a double broad and was super wet. To wet for journaling at the time. I am kicking myself for selling it as I have a nibmeister here in our area that could have fixed it up for about $30.00.

They are beautiful and built like a tank! I love that particular Retro model. They also have a great history! Congratulations!

I am a pleb when it comes to fountain pens and have always just bought MB. However I came across this brand whilst in the UK and think its gorgeous and real value for money when compared to MB...i coudnt try out the nib sadly and will probably buy one in teh near future..love 925 pens so this is an added bonus.

I was eyeing these tonight. Somewhere out there, there's a YOL viceroy grand barley FP with my name on it. Let's just hope the seller doesn't know it!

It has been my experience that YOL FPs are wet writers out of the box. A medium will write like a wet broad and a fine like a wet medium.

If you keep that in mind and purchase a YOL with the idea of have a nibmeister perfect it or buy a nib size smaller I think you will be well pleased.

They are just fantastic and classy in every way. Not to mention that the way these are made today, they will be a pen that will be passed down through many generations.
