1st Rolex

I got my first Rolex yesterday a 2016 explorer which has the longer minute hands etc, on the Rolex website it shows the watch glowing blue but mine glows green I was told in the shop that this watch had just come in and it's the new model I got the watch from a reputable dealer is there some thing wrong with my watch ie its a 2015 model or some thing should I take it back based on the fact it's not blue ?

I got the older model. To tell you that the 3-6-9 are made of 18 carat white gold so they don't glow. But the new one should glow in blue. Even mine glows in blue, just not the numerals

Well after trying the super luminova, it's actually a greenish blue. IMG_0153.jpg

If it's a new one, it should have a matte dial and from my understanding the 3 6 9 should glow as well... Picture of the watch in regular light would will help. Hopefully the dealer is not throwing new hands on an old watch and saying that it's the new model.

I tried to upload a picture but think it has to be vetted by a admin the numbers glow in the dark as well and the hands are the bigger 2016 size

it's more blueish or greenish, if bought from reputable dealer, nothing to worry

Personally I think the blue looks green until you see it next to an actual green. I certainly don't see it as blue as it looks in the Rolex advertising.

It should look like this color wise. The numerals should glow too.

The lume itself isn't that important. It doesn't last anyway. Keeping in mind that I'm no expert, that looks like the older lume color to me. The newest one typically glows more of an icy or baby blue, like Javiers photo. My 2011 sub glows a bluesish green, sometimes looks blue - like the photo above, but not like the newest color lume.

It's the new one. The numbers on the old one don't have lume and the minute hand is longer.
