Spring bar

Refitting the bracelet to my Rolex Precision I am frustrated by the pins being ejected from the tube of the spring bar. Should the pins be held within the ends of the spring? Thanks for advice on this!

If this has happened, it means the spring bars are broken and need to be replaced.
