RO 15300 help first AP watch

Hi fam I'm new to this forum and I'm thinking to buy this 15300 as my wrist is 6,5 and I think the 39mm dial will fit better can anyone help me with this watch:

http://www.chrono24.co.uk/audemarspi...arch/index.htm

Do you guys think is been polished?

Also watch in question doesn't have any revision from AP and is from 2009 do you think is needed?

Also what you think about price
Thanks in advance

I think price might be a tad high but in the ball park. I'm going to guess that it's been polished because of its age but looks ok to me. Even though I own this reference I'm not a pro at polished/not polished. If it hasn't been serviced I would budget in a full service from AP. I think it runs around 1,300 usd, again don't quote me on that price. They are getting harder to find but make sure you trust seller first and foremost. Good luck

Hmm. $14,188 usd

Photos do not show lug holes. That's a good place to look to see how far down the case has been refinished.

It's a bit of a high price unless the watch has been a safe queen IMO...unless it's been serviced - BY AP - recently.

I take it you know nothing about the seller? I'd be hard pressed to pay that much. Unless you have assurances about the seller and returns.

Agree that a service may be in order.

I have the same wrist size - which is why I opted for this model.

Big risk here is the seller and a fair representation in the pics. Can you get more close ups of the sides and where the screws meet the bezel? That is also an area which can indicate extent of polishing.

I would like into the mid size 15450st 37mm. It might look better on your wrists.

I tried one on the other day on my 7 inch wrists and I thought it looked good.

Well you've been given some tips in this thread about evidence of polishing.

It may be that you'll need to call around and find a local dealer with one in stock...or get satisfactory assurances about your sellers rep and return policy. You could have the watch inspected - potentially. But there is risk.

Edit - sending in your Daytona complicates things even more.

You need a local / face to face deal.

I'm no expert, but I've owned a few Royal Oaks, including a chrono I still have, so I did a bit of research on this very topic when I bought mine a few years ago. I have a strong suspicion that this watch has been polished before. The giveaway is that the screws in the bezels should be countersunk and normally sit below the surface in an unpolished watch, as seen in the photo below. In comparison, the screws in the watch you are considering are flush with the surface.

No idea here - and that's part why I went with a new 15400 instead.
